Builder.ai (SAIT) has closed — your project is not lost.

Software as it Technology Ltd (SAIT), the company behind Builder.ai, ceased operations in 2025. Dashboards are inaccessible, support is unresponsive, and source code is locked behind a platform that no longer exists. AppStuck has helped clients recover from exactly this situation. We work from whatever you have — exported code, API specs, screenshots, or prior builds — and rebuild your product on infrastructure you own outright.

What Happens When Builder.ai Shuts Down

The SAIT closure has left thousands of clients in one of these situations. We’ve developed a direct recovery path for each one.

Dashboard Inaccessible

The Builder.ai dashboard is offline. You can no longer log in, view your project, trigger builds, or deploy updates. Your app is frozen at its last deployed state.

No Source Code Access

Builder.ai held your source code on their servers. With the platform gone, you cannot download it through normal means. We work from whatever artefacts you still have — exports, ZIP files, live deployments, or API docs.

Hosted App Still Running (For Now)

Some Builder.ai-hosted apps are still serving traffic on SAIT infrastructure — but that won’t last. Once those servers are decommissioned, your live product goes dark. We migrate it before that happens.

Proprietary Stack Migration

Builder.ai used a proprietary React Native / Node.js stack with custom tooling. Extracting and migrating it to a standard, self-hostable framework requires developers who understand what was generated.

Data Trapped on SAIT Servers

User data, uploads, and database content may be stored on infrastructure you no longer control. We help identify what’s recoverable and migrate it to storage you own before access is lost.

Active Users With No Continuity

If your app has paying customers or active users, every day without a migration plan is a revenue and trust risk. We prioritise continuity — keeping the app running while the migration happens in the background.

How AppStuck Rescues Builder.ai Projects

We’ve developed a recovery process specifically for clients stranded by the Builder.ai / SAIT shutdown.

Recovery Assessment

We audit everything you have — exported files, live deployments, screenshots, API specs — and give you an honest picture of what’s recoverable and what it takes to rebuild.

Code Extraction & Migration

We extract or reconstruct your codebase from available artefacts and migrate it to React, React Native, or Next.js — a stack you own and can develop independently.

Production Relaunch

Full deployment on Vercel, Railway, AWS, or your chosen host. Environment config, domain, SSL, monitoring, and a production-grade release — independent of Builder.ai infrastructure.

Feature Recovery & Completion

Any features that were in progress or broken on the Builder.ai platform are rebuilt correctly. We also add anything you needed but the platform couldn’t deliver.

Our Builder.ai Recovery Process

Three steps, starting with a free assessment. You know what’s recoverable and what it costs before committing.

1

Free Recovery Assessment

30 minutes. You tell us what you have access to and what the app does. We tell you honestly what’s recoverable, how long it takes, and what it costs. No commitment.

2

Recovery Plan

Within 48 hours of starting, you get a written plan: what we’ll recover, what needs rebuilding, the timeline, and the cost. You approve before any work begins.

3

Recover, Rebuild & Relaunch

We extract and migrate the codebase, rebuild what’s missing, and redeploy to infrastructure you own. You get a handover document and optional post-launch support.

Platform Rescue

Builder.ai Client — App Recovered After Platform Shutdown

A European SaaS team lost access to their Builder.ai dashboard after SAIT ceased operations. They had partial exports and screenshots of the working app. We reconstructed the codebase, migrated the data to PostgreSQL, and relaunched on Vercel within three weeks.

"We thought we’d lost everything. AppStuck recovered the app and we’re back live with a stack we actually own."

Nordic FinTech — Stuck for Months, Live in 3 Weeks

A FinTech team had been stuck on their AI-generated app for months before reaching out. We took over the project, assessed what was blocking them, and had them live within 3 weeks.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before reaching out.

Start by collecting everything you have: any exported code or ZIP files, screenshots of the working app, API documentation, and any credentials you used. Then contact us for a free recovery assessment. We work from whatever artefacts are available and tell you honestly what’s recoverable.

It depends on what you have access to. If you have exported code files or a ZIP export from before the shutdown, we can work with that directly. If not, we reconstruct the application from your live deployment (if still running), screenshots, and functional specs. We tell you exactly what’s possible after seeing what you have.

There is no reliable public timeline for when SAIT’s hosting infrastructure will be decommissioned. If your app is still live, treat it as temporary. The right move is to start a migration immediately while the live version is still accessible and can be used as a reference.

Sometimes, but not always. If you have a code export or a live deployment we can access, we can often migrate the existing codebase. If only screenshots and specs exist, we rebuild to match the original functionality. Either way, you end up with code on a stack you own.

We migrate to standard, open-source stacks: React or React Native for the frontend, Node.js or a Python/Rails backend, PostgreSQL for data, and Vercel, Railway, or AWS for hosting. No proprietary platform dependency.

We bill at $70/hour with a minimum of 5 prepaid hours. Recovery scope varies significantly based on what artefacts you have available. Simple migrations with full code exports: 10–20 hours. Partial rebuilds from live deployments and screenshots: 25–60 hours. We give you a written estimate after the free assessment.

If you have a code export and a clear spec, we can have a migrated app running in 1–2 weeks. Full rebuilds from screenshots take 3–6 weeks depending on complexity. We prioritise speed if you have active users at risk.
